“Ask for Help” Social Script Song

Description

Originally created as part of a program of intervention for a young man with developmental disabilities, this song uses simple, easy-to-remember social scripts written by an educational psychologist set to AI-generated music specific to when it is socially appropriate to ask for help.

The intent behind this application of the peer-reviewed research in music therapy is to equip the program beneficiary with improved functional communication and independent living skills over time by teaching foundational concepts through music, which is often more easily remembered and useful in building skills that spoken or written speech with individuals challenged with developmental disabilities and impaired language skills.
