Helping families is at the core of what we do. What happens to one member of a family unit happens to every member of that family unit. We help parents and legal guardians advocate for appropriate outcomes for their family members with special needs in educational and vocational contexts, primarily the K-12 public education system. Our services to families include:

  • Lay (non-attorney) advocate representation in correspondence and meetings
  • Case consultation services
  • Disability-specific educational research of the peer-reviewed literature
  • Letter-writing and document preparation services
  • Research into the applicable regulations, procedural safeguards, and complaint procedures
  • Assistance with regulatory complaints, if needed
  • Referrals to qualified attorneys if it appears litigation may be warranted
  • Supported Decision Making (SDM) and special needs post-secondary planning
